Josh Spanogle: Another Bioethicist Turns to Fiction

I have to admit that I was taken completely off guard by the news that Joshua Spanogle, former member of McGee's Rough and Tumble Bioethics Research Group (MRTBRG) at Penn, has banged out a novel called Isolation Ward, which I've already procured and begun to read.

Reviewers say it is a great medical mystery, and so far that seems right to me. I'm biased, because this guy is one of the best students with whom I've ever worked and the fact that he has tossed off this novel while attending Stanford Medical School - with another one in the offing - doesn't surprise me at all. He's that good.
