Brain Enhancement Update: A Memory & Attention Deficit Compound that Helps Everyone?

New Scientist tells us about a new set of pharmacological compounds called ampakines, that may enhance memory and mental performance with causing the jitteriness of traditional stimulants. Identified as potential treatment for ADD, memory loss, and even Alzheimer's disease, the substances also appear to have a uniform effect on normal subjects in the trials. Ampakines are in clinical trials in the U.K. now.
